Ikhaya Lwempilo HIV/AIDS policy

1. Prevention: Ikhaya Lwempilo promotes awareness and education about HIV/AIDS, which contributes to preventing transmission. This includes but is not limited to the distribution of condoms and promoting safe sex practices, emphasising on abstinence, needle exchange programs, education on HIV testing, and awareness for the overall community.

 

2. Care and Support: Ikhaya Lwempilo supports people living with HIV/AIDS, we do this by providing access to healthcare, treatment, and medications. Living with HIV comes with challenges, we provide counselling and emotional support to help individuals cope with psychological and emotional challenges.

 

3. Advocacy: Ikhaya Lwempilo advocates for the rights of people living with HIV/AIDS.  We work to eliminate discrimination and stigma associated with the HIV/AIDS.

 

4. Community Engagement:  We engage with the community to promote awareness of HIV/AIDS and work to reduce the spread of the virus. We engage with local government and other organizations in the community.

 

5. Monitoring and Evaluation: We regularly monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the programs and policies we apply and implement to ensure that we are achieving our goals of making a positive impact in the lives of those affected by HIV/AIDS in our communities.
